The 20th Century produced many outstanding writers. One whose literary accomplishment stands as a living monument is the newspaper columnist and author,
John R. Gunn. He gave us an abundance of messages on a variety of subjects that warm the soul and touch the heart.
For over 36 years he wrote about forming ideals, facing up to life's challenges, building a strong faith, facing tragedy, rendering wise judgment, enriching friendships, seeking forgiveness, repairing a broken heart, loneliness and just about every other condition in which the human spirit finds itself.
His life experiences give us a heads up on this business of living. Countless people have said in one way or another, I found comfort in reading Gunn's column. One person recently said, €œI've been blessed beyond belief!
This web site seeks to share a few of the thousands of messages that originally appeared in newspapers, books, and over the radio. Rev. Gunn said, "Throughout these thirty-six years I have sought through my daily writings to point out God's answer to human needs as revealed in the Bible."
Little did John R. Gunn know that his writings would be extended in different venues; first the newspaper continued to recycle his columns daily for 15 years beyond his passing, then over 2,000 radio stations carried his messages daily for 12 years and now they are available around the world on the web.
Were John R. Gunn in our presence today we believe that he would say to you, his readers, God bless you, my friend.
